Simon Thorn and the Viper’s Pit Cover reveal

I am so excited to share with you the cover for Simon Thorn and the Viper’s Pit, the second book in the Simon Thorn series!

Gorgeous, right? I love this cover so much – the colors, the cobra, Felix the mouse … the sounds I made when I first saw it weren’t human.

Simon Thorn and the Viper’s Pit will be released in February 2017 from Bloomsbury US and UK. The first book, Simon Thorn and the Wolf’s Den, is on shelves now!

Introducing Simon Thorn

I’m SO excited to finally be able to tell you about my new project! This announcement appeared in Publishers Weekly yesterday:

So what does this mean? Starting in Fall 2015, I’ll have a middle grade series on shelves from the wonderful Bloomsbury US and UK! Simon Thorn and the Wolf’s Den is the first book in a planned middle grade series, and I can’t tell you how excited I am for you all to meet Simon. I’ve been working on this story for a long time, and while I can’t say too much about it yet, I will say it’s set in our world – in New York City – and features one of my all-time favorite characters (that I’ve written, at least).

Don’t worry – I’ll still be writing YA! (I’m working on CAPTIVE, the sequel to PAWN, as we speak.) But being such a huge fan of middle grade, I couldn’t resist Simon and his story, and I can’t wait to be able to share it with you.

Meet West Young from CRASH INTO YOU!

I’m so pleased to have the chance to share with you all a little bit about West Young, one of the many wonderful characters in Katie McGarry’s new novel, Crash Into You. I’ve been tearing through this novel ever since it came out on Tuesday, and if you haven’t picked up a copy already, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Meet West Young from Crash Into You by Katie McGarry (releases November 26th)

Description: Senior in high school, blond hair, blue eyes, older brother of Rachel, and always on the prowl for a new girl to take out on the town.
Spends time: In detention for fighting. No one makes fun of my little sister, Rachel.
Drives: An Escalade. My dad makes good money and I don’t mind spending it.
To find out more about West, Crash Into You, and to win prizes visit:

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life—that’s who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers…and she’s just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker—a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can’t get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks—no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they’ll go to save each other.

Through the Zombieglass Blog Tour and Giveaways

I’m so excited to be part of Gena Showalter’s Through the Zombieglass blog tour! Gena’s the sweetest person, and I seriously can’t wait to dive into this sequel to Alice in Zombieland. For now, check out Gena’s thoughts on Reeve and Bronx!

Gena’s thoughts on Reeve:

Reeve isn’t a slayer, but her father provides medical care for the team.  She has spent most of her life unaware there’s a zombie infestation, and has no idea there’s a war waging around her.  She only knows her dad is strict about security, and on certain nights, he won’t let her leave the house.  Something’s going on…and she wants to know what it is.

Gena’s thoughts on Bronx:

Bronx is the strong and silent type.  He rarely speaks, but when he does, it’s best to listen.  Unwanted by his parents, abandoned, and left for dead, he has a childhood that would have destroyed so many others.  He found a purpose—and acceptance—with the zombie slayers, and he is willing to die for his friends.  His motto?  Whatever’s necessary.

Look for the White Rabbit Contest”: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays , the white Rabbit will appear on a different blog and stays there for 48hrs. Once you have found the Rabbit, click on it and you will be directed to a Rafflecopter entry form for the Grand Prize Giveaway! To enter, you must answer the daily question found at the Tour Stop!!!

About Through The Zombieglass
Inspired by the childhood classic Alice in Wonderland, this harrowing and romantic story features teen zombie slayer Alice Bell who has lost so much—family, friends, her home.
After a strange new zombie attack, Alice fears she may be losing her mind as well. A terrible darkness blooms inside her, urging her to do wicked things.
The whispers of the dead assault her ears and mirrors seem to come frighteningly to life. She’s never needed her team of zombie slayers more—including her boyfriend, Cole—than she does now. But as Cole strangely withdraws and the zombies gain new strength, Ali knows one false step may doom them all.

Epic Post of Posts

Hey guys! So sorry about the radio silence as of late. Between writing the sequel to PAWN, going on the #YeahYA tour, and signing a gazillion posters for the Goddess Test boxed set —

Oh, right. So I have some major news. I have a lot of major news.

There will be a boxed set of The Goddess Test books out September 24th, including The Goddess Test, Goddess Interrupted, The Goddess Legacy, and The Goddess Inheritance! And, bonus – it comes with an EXCLUSIVE signed poster!

boxedsetYou can preorder the boxed set on or

You asked – again and again – and we heard. Now the entire Goddess Test series, including The Goddess Hunt, is available on! I’m a huge fan of Audible, and I hope those of you who have been looking for the series on audio book enjoy them!

Today I received ARCs (advance reader copies) of PAWN, the first book in my new series, The Blackcoat Rebellion series! I’m so excited to share this story with you, and in case you missed the cover and synopsis reveal…

For Kitty Doe, it seems like an easy choice. She can either spend her life as a III in misery, looked down upon by the higher ranks and forced to leave the people she loves, or she can become a VII and join the most powerful family in the country.

If she says yes, Kitty will be Masked—surgically transformed into Lila Hart, the Prime Minister’s niece, who died under mysterious circumstances. As a member of the Hart family, she will be famous. She will be adored. And for the first time, she will matter.

There’s only one catch. She must also stop the rebellion that Lila secretly fostered, the same one that got her killed and one Kitty believes in. Faced with threats, conspiracies and a life that’s not her own, she must decide which path to choose—and learn how to become more than a pawn in a twisted game she’s only beginning to understand.

PAWN will be released November 26th in hardcover format. It’s my first hardcover book, and I’m so insanely excited for it!

Speaking of PAWN…

I bet you thought I forgot about that contest to name a character in the second book of The Blackcoat Rebellion series, didn’t you? I was expecting to announce this back in May, but various edits and the like got in the way of me starting the second book. I have now though, and I’m excited to announce not one, but THREE winners!

Congratulations to those who picked the names Isabel, Scotia, and Noelle! They’ll be making up the names of two important characters. Thank you all for your entries, and don’t be upset if your name didn’t make it this time – I keep a list of names I love for future characters, and I added many of your suggestions to that list. So yours may pop up in a future book even if you didn’t win this time!

PAWN ARC Giveaway

Interested in reading PAWN? It just so happens that I have an advanced reader copy to give away!

All you have to do is comment here (don’t forget to include your name and email address!). One entry per person, must be 13+, and the contest will go from Monday, July 29th, through Sunday, August 4th, ending at 11:59pm Eastern. Want a character named after you?

So I’ve been teasing you guys about a giveaway for ages, and I’m sorry for not getting this up sooner. Buuut here we are, finally!

As you may have heard, the final book in the Goddess Test series, The Goddess Inheritance, is coming out in three weeks, on February 26th. It will also be released in early March in the UK and Australia. Now here’s the fun part: if you pre-order your copy OR buy The Goddess Inheritance during the first week it’s out (from February 26 – March 4), I will send you a signed, personalized bookplate.

And – AND – you can submit a name (including your own) for a pivotal character in the second book of my new series, The Blackcoat Rebellion (the first book, PAWN, will be released November 26th).

How can you get a bookplate and a chance for your name to appear in the sequel to PAWN? Easy. Just send all of the following information to with the subject “Pre-order Giveaway“:

Proof of purchase: a picture of a receipt, a screencap, the book sitting in your favorite reading spot, whatever you’d like! Any personal information included MUST be blurred or blacked out.

– Any instructions for the bookplate: a name you’d like for me to make it out to, a drawing, etc. (Fact: I can’t draw to save my life, but you’re welcome to make a request [within reason], and I’ll do my best to fulfill it.) (What is a bookplate? It’s a large white square sticker that you can stick on the inside of your book as a substitute for an in-person signature.)

– The name you’d like to submit for the character (can be yours or someone else’s!).

– A shipping address for your bookplate.

And a bonus: if you happen to buy any other Goddess Test series books during this time period, I will send you an equal number of bookplates to match your order. So, say you’ve never read the series, but now that the final book’s going to be released, you’d like to get into it. If you get all four books (Test, Interrupted, Legacy, Inheritance), I will send you four bookplates. If you get three, I will send you three. If you get a copy of Goddess Inheritance for yourself and one for your best friend, I will send you two, etc. etc.

As for the character name, sometime after March 4th, I will choose a name from the ones I’ve received and announce it. This character won’t be an extra or mentioned in passing – he or she will be pivotal to the story. Depending on any extra characters that show up, I may choose other names from the list as well. We’ll see how it goes! But at least one will be featured in the story.

So yes! From now until March 4th, if you pre-order The Goddess Inheritance or get your copy the week it releases, not only will you get a bookplate (that I will send out as soon as I receive your email – no waiting!), but you might also see your name featured in my new series. Kind of awesome, right?

It is unfortunately limited to the US and Canada, BUT if you have a friend who lives in one of those countries, they can enter for you, receive your bookplate, and submit your name. So find an American or Canadian buddy, and you’re good!

If you enter, make sure you send everything in one email, and if you have any questions, leave them below. Thanks, guys! (And while you’re here, don’t forget about the Goddess Inheritance blog tour, happening now!)

ETA: I wanted to answer some questions I’ve been getting!

Why is this only for US/Canadian residents?: I LOVE the UK and Australia. I’ve been to both, and you guys are incredible. But with shipping costs being what they are, it gets really expensive really fast to send things overseas. However, if you have pre-ordered or pick up Goddess Inheritance in the first week of release anyway, I would be more than happy to include your name or the name of your choice in the character naming pool. Just email me at the above address and let me know.

What about pre-ordering the e-book? Does that count?: YES! Absolutely. I would still be happy to send you bookplates, and you can stick them anywhere you’d like. And of course you can submit a name for the character in The Blackcoat Rebellion series as well.

What if you buy Goddess Test/Goddess Interrupted/Goddess Legacy, but not Goddess Inheritance? Does that count?: Unfortunately because this is specifically meant to support Goddess Inheritance, you do need to purchase Goddess Inheritance to get bookplates for any other book in the series as well.

If you have any other questions, again, please feel free to ask them below!
