Introducing Simon Thorn

I’m SO excited to finally be able to tell you about my new project! This announcement appeared in Publishers Weekly yesterday:

So what does this mean? Starting in Fall 2015, I’ll have a middle grade series on shelves from the wonderful Bloomsbury US and UK! Simon Thorn and the Wolf’s Den is the first book in a planned middle grade series, and I can’t tell you how excited I am for you all to meet Simon. I’ve been working on this story for a long time, and while I can’t say too much about it yet, I will say it’s set in our world – in New York City – and features one of my all-time favorite characters (that I’ve written, at least).

Don’t worry – I’ll still be writing YA! (I’m working on CAPTIVE, the sequel to PAWN, as we speak.) But being such a huge fan of middle grade, I couldn’t resist Simon and his story, and I can’t wait to be able to share it with you.

Meet West Young from CRASH INTO YOU!

I’m so pleased to have the chance to share with you all a little bit about West Young, one of the many wonderful characters in Katie McGarry’s new novel, Crash Into You. I’ve been tearing through this novel ever since it came out on Tuesday, and if you haven’t picked up a copy already, do yourself a favor and check it out!

Meet West Young from Crash Into You by Katie McGarry (releases November 26th)

Description: Senior in high school, blond hair, blue eyes, older brother of Rachel, and always on the prowl for a new girl to take out on the town.
Spends time: In detention for fighting. No one makes fun of my little sister, Rachel.
Drives: An Escalade. My dad makes good money and I don’t mind spending it.

From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane

The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life—that’s who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers…and she’s just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker—a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can’t get him out of her mind.

Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks—no matter how angelic she might look.

But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they’ll go to save each other.
